Sumiko Saulson is a Two-Time Bram Stoker Finalist for their poetry collections The Rat King: A Book of Dark Poetry (Dooky Zines) in 2022 and Melancholia: A Book of Dark Poetry (Bludgeoned Girls Press) in 2024, as well as an Elgin Award nominee, and winner of the Afrosurrealist Writers Award (2018) and Ladies in Horror Award (2021). They are an author of Afrosurrealist and multicultural sci-fi and horror.
