Dan Kuzmenka (kuzy62) is a self-taught digital artist whose creative journey spans decades and various technologies. Originally from the Chicago area and now residing in New Jersey, Dan discovered his passion for art through drawing and sketching in childhood. After a 30-year career as a research chemist, he retired to fully pursue artistic expression. In the mid-1980s, Dan became fascinated with fractal art, using computer software to render infinitely complex patterns found in nature - one piece was exhibited internationally at a 2006 mathematics conference celebrating Benoit Mandelbrot's birthday.

While fractal art ignited Dan's enthusiasm for digital artistry, he has since expanded into new realms like 3D graphics and generative AI art using tools like Midjourney. With no formal training, Dan has mastered each new medium through self-teaching and dedication. His artwork merges his scientific background with an artist's vision, blurring boundaries between art and mathematics through abstract forms, patterns, and conceptual imagery fueled by emerging technologies.
