David E. Cowen is an Active Member of the Horror Writers Association and author of five volumes of poetry. His collection, Bleeding Saffron (Weasel Press 2018), was nominated for the Bram Stoker Award for poetry.

The photos in this collection were taken with an EOS Rebel digital camera in the early to mid-2000s as part of a project for his collection Seven Yards of Sorrow (Weasel Press 2016). No AI was used. Being on the Texas Gulf Coast, Galveston experiences heavy fog in the fall and spring which were an excellent backdrop for the photos taken in the Old Galveston Cemetery which has monuments dating back to the 1830s.
