ART BY DANI BROWN Dani Brown, suitably called ‘The Queen of Filth’ is typically an author, but many years before she found words, her Great Nanny put a sable paint brush in her hands with professional quality watercolour paints. She was also given watercolour paper (‘none of that recycled paper for you’). She was six. Despite this early training from a professional watercolour artist, Dani fell out with art for years, only doing what was required of her at school as other school work and her social life got in the way. Dani took up art again upon returning to the UK. It has been a struggle for her to keep it up, but then she broke up with him and can draw whenever she wants now (unless she’s at work or has a writing deadline). She does not own watercolours and prefers acrylic brushes these days (her Great Nanny would be ashamed of this). Additionally, she forgot when she last had a piece in an exhibit, but it would have been when she was in her early teens. You can keep up with her art, writing and any other creative projects HERE |
