ART BY IRINA KOR (SHENNIKIN)

Irina Kor is the self-taught artist also known as Shennikin. She has worked with photo manipulation for six years, and more recently, with digital drawing. She enjoys combining both of these techniques and uses digital tools to convey her emotions and experiences.

She was born in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, a vibrant city that sparked her love for digital art. Even though she studied international economics, her true passion lies in art.

If asked what her favorite creation among her artworks is, she would always say it is the most recent one. Every time she finishes her work, sher thinks, “This is the best thing I’ve ever created.” As time passes and she creates something new, she think so again and again. It’s a continuous cycle.

Beyond her art, Irina cherishes time with family and relatives, indulges in music, devours detective novels and horror stories, and delves into the world of computer games.
