ART BY AURE

Aure is thirty-eight years old and lives in Aix-en-Provence, a pretty town in the south of France. She is a self-taught artist loving life, nature and the mystical. Since the age of ten, she has been drawing, first mangas, then towards adolescence, female faces and clothes because at that time, she was interested in fashion design but gave it up later. Her parents also have an artistic streak, so she feels that liberating art is in her genes.

It was during confinement that she was able to resume drawing and painting. She discovered Indian ink and Posca ; a dream for her. Her style is becoming more and more precise; it is rather abstract at times and she combines mixed techniques. Her creations are based on intuitive art and it must be completely done in letting go. She prefers to draw women—the sacred feminine and astrological-style symbols, runes, the moon (femininity) and the sun (masculinity). She feels they are complementary and non-dualistic.

She has shown her work in various and varied exhibitions, bringing her notoriety to a wide audience. In the future, she wants to develop her art outside of France.
