Liliia Beda is a young photographer from Donetsk, Ukraine. The Sony World Photography Awards 2018 listed Liliia as “among the top 50” photographers in the Portrait Category. She has won 35 other awards from 2017 to 2019.

For Liliia, people are the source of inspiration for her photographs. Like a contemporary Pre-Raphaelit artista, she captures the authenticy of all she portrays, interplaying her subjects with symbols and metaphors. The result is a delicate and yet intesnse composition to inspire and move the observant.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and Liliia is very good at noticing it. She tries to freeze her models in the frams, turning them into heroines of old legends, atchetypal figures full of meaning.
