Raceanu Mihai Adrian (Adrian) was born in 1976 in Romania, in a town by the seaside called Constanta. In 1996, he moved with his parents to Navodari, also near the sea. Four years later, he met his wife, Claudia and eight years later they had a baby girl called Erica Dalia (the name Dalia was given to her like a tribute to the great Salvador Dali).

Adrian began painting at fourteen-years-old, first concentrating on the work of R.H. Giger and then Salvador Dali, whose style he admired.

In 2006, a collector found some of his works on the internet and together they started a collaboration until 2007. After years of working on his craft, he feels he has finally got to the style he paints today.

He feels that conceptual art is not appreciated in Romania, but other countries are very receptive. On every painting, Adrian writes the names of the two girls in his life: his wife Claudia daughter Dalia.
