FALL (A Broken Sonnet) leaves of fire everything freezes we remember and we cherish VERNAL DAMNATION (A Broken Sonnet) It’s March and April when the coffins crack The bitter promise of the bygone Fall— Exiled from ice, life rots and shits and fucks— please NIGHTFALL IN UTQIAGVIK The polar night has come. Two months of black. The earth is carrion. The sky is ice. Cadaverous and gelid universe— . . .the dancing night upon the corpse of day |
J.B. Toner studied Literature at Thomas More College and holds a black belt in Ohana Kilohana Kenpo-Jujitsu. He has published two novels, Whisper Music and The Shoreless Sea, and many shorter works.
