Tom Mattel

Tom Mattel has been doodling ever since he was a little kid. Tom has taken two college art courses at Pace University when he was studying to get a degree in Biology. In 1990, Tom took a class at the American Museum of Natural History called Animal Drawing. Tom has also attended two portraiture courses at the School of Visual Arts in New York, once in 1997, and again in 2002.

Tom has done a number of portraits of humans and/or their pets and a few other projects on commision, but until he gets discovered from The Horror Zine, he'll keep his daytime job! :)

Some of Tom's favorite artists are Dali, Magritte, DaVinci and a lot of the old masters; and of course, Mort Drucker of Mad Magazine!
