THE DARK DOOR
In my childhood home
there was a dark door
in the boiler room
On my seventh birthday
secret whispering
echoed in the night
leading me down to the cellar
In the light from the half open door
I saw three trolls standing on the floor
and heard my mother talking—
Patience my children
tomorrow he will be yours
seven years old
you can eat his meat
make a magic stew
you can be free
from the course
and walk in the sun
As you understand
I ran away that night
but I fear
they found another
poor seven year old
so trolls can stroll around
in bright daylight
disguised as bag-ladies and hobos
DEEP LOVE
Deep down in the dark caves
I found my love, weak and wounded
I took care of him
fed him with my friends
strangers I found by the way
Soon my beloved was strong again
and I gave birth to his army of monsters
thousands of them growing fast in the dark
furious warriors from the distance dimensions
One day they started to march
from the dark depth
to conquer the earth
with tears in my eyes
I saw my sons tearing
me apart for lunch
their sharp mouth chewed
with a soft whispering
that sounded like mom
THE GARDEN OF EVIL
Deep in the forbidden forest
I found an abounded garden
old and untamed
filled with poison ivy
and stinging nettles
A hidden place surrounded
with razor-sharp thorns
mutated frogs and evils spiders
guarding the secret garden
In the middle a single tree
spreading its branches
like a crucifix
a dead piece of wood
with the delicious damned fruit
dangling as an autumn leaf
I took a bite of the fruit
poisoned with old evil
and my soul was filled
with sights of sins and damnation
death and devastation
