THE GREY KING

Hidden deep in the Swedish forests
In the castle of the trolls
Rests the ancient mountain king
The ancestor to all vampires
Sleeping deep for centuries
On his bed of stones
Covered with moss, fungus and algae

In every dark corner
Treasures of gold glimmering
Chained to the walls
Skeletons of sweet princesses
Evening meals for a grey king

Blood sucking pets with leather wings
Hangs in thousands from the ceiling
Feasting on his old infected blood
Flies as shadows under the full moon
Spreading the disease over the world
The old curse of trolls
Mixed with the hunger of bats
Creating myths of blood sucking creatures
Afraid of the sun

THE CALLING

The warm moist hand
tight round my fingers
the cold skinny fingers
in my other hand
we sit around the white table
with candles flickering in the draft

I see her on the other side
seeking the spirits
calling them from the above

The expectation is thick in the room
the grip of my hands tighten
chandelier dangling shaking
voices from the past
talking slow and calm

Suddenly I feel cold and fear
a shadow grows near
the mediums face perspire
from her mouth a voice
so dark and familiar
I can hear my dear mother talking:

“Son of Satan!
Go to hell!
It’s late
and your father is waiting
by your bed.”

THE PUZZLE

In the attic dust
I found the carving
in the full moon glow
deep down in the wooden floor
I realized it was puzzle to be solved

I was only a child
looking for some fun
when I started to move and turn
the strange pieces on the floor

How could I known
that it was an ancient door
waiting to be unlocked
a gateway to hell
and my damnation

Demons from the underworld
came and took my soul
locked it in the maze of hell
tortured me to insanity
with an impossible enigma
echoing in my mind

Since then I have tried to solve
any puzzle or riddle
cross words and Sudoku
in every paper and book
to find a key to my salvation
