Sires Jan Black was born and raised in the United States since 1988, and is working as an office administrator and other office jobs. She is taking commissions on the side after dropping out of design school to pursue illustration and comics.

Her art style is heavily influenced by eastern manga and video game art. She always aspires to draw something memorable and slightly off and bizarre.

She won the US Shounen Jump Storyboard Contest Grand Prize in 2011, and won the excellence award in the International Silent Manga Audition, 2015 winter round.
