Farzad Golpayegani was born in May 1979 in Tehran, Iran, and currently lives in the USA. He is son of the late Behzad Golpayegani (Painter and Graphic Designer 1938-1985). Farzad has graduated in Graphic Design and works in the fields of music and visual art.

He started to learn painting and graphics in high school. The style of his work is close to surrealism and expressionism. He has had several painting and drawing exhibitions.

He owes his passion in music to his older brother. In 1994, when he bought his first guitar, he started to focus on music seriously. He got a teacher in his early learning but since then, he’s mainly self-taught. From the beginning, he was anxious about improvising and wanted to create original scores instead of performing other musician’s songs.

Style of Farzad’s music is Iranian Progressive Metal and Fusion. He composes, plays, records, mixes and masters the tracks and designs the album covers himself. He personally plays the 7-string electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, violin…but for the percussions, drums and keyboards, he usually does computer programming and has other musicians in his songs.
